Florita’s | Florita's
Florita’s
Florita’s is located on the diamond strip close to the likes of Perdu and Tuptup. For this review im going to include Madame Koos and Baby lynch under the mantle of Florita’s, as they all combine to form a club.
Florita’s has to be one of the best looking clubs in Newcastle. Bare stone walls donned with innovative art really put Florita’s at the cutting edge of nightclub decor. This extends to the drinks served. Florita’s stock all kind of exotic cocktails served in ever-so fancy glasses. If you order a cocktail here you get the real rather than the rather dispiriting pint of skittles we’re used to from the likes of Basement. However be prepared to pay a little more for this pleasure, although there are happy hours that can be taken advantage of if you fancy getting on it early.
Music wise Florita’s, Baby Lynch and Madame Koos all have their own genres. Madame Koos advertised itself as having no musical boundaries, but in reality expect either classics or chart. Florita’s on the other hand is more party anthems and dance. However the DJs are forever wanting to claims songs for themselves so expect remixes and a possibility of African drums. Baby Lynch again brands itself as having an eclectic mix of music; this is not the case as more often than not Drum ‘n’ Base is being blasted through speakers.
