TupTup Palace
TupTup Palace
TupTup Palace is a small club located just down from Perdu on the ‘Diamond Strip.’ Billed as a ‘boutique’ nightclub TupTup Palace is not cheap by any stretch of the imagination. Drinks prices are way above the average for Newcastle. For example a bottle of Bud will set you back an eye watering £3.70. In many ways this is simple measure by the club to cut out what our Southern friends would call ‘The Riff-raff.’ However as always there is a simple way around the solution, make sure you’ve had enough to drink before you go in and you keep your cash for another night.
By describing TupTup as a ‘party palace on an epic yet intimate scale’ the owners are thinly concealing how small this club is. When compared to the likes of Digital and Liquid this place is laughable. However in all fairness this nightclub is not looking to cater for the same people as Digital and Liquid goers. Instead this club is looking to offer an almost intimate and individual night rather than a party on a large and corporate scale. True intimacy and seclusion is offered with the option of renting out one of the private booths. Furthermore this is where you will find the rich and famous who visit Newcastle as TupTup Palace is one of their preferred venues.
As for the music it is very similar to the likes of Sea with a compete variety of music that changes with the day of the week.
Monday: ‘The Playground’- Music from all corners of the chart and the possibility of some live music from local bands in Newcastle.
Tuesday: ‘69′er’- A night of ‘mayhem’ with a change of theme each week.

Thursday: ‘LoveDough’- R’n’B/ Urban night however music from all genres.
